Sean Michael Casey is a bass teacher and performer in Western Washington, offering lessons to students of all ages and experience in south Tacoma. He performs as the Assistant Principal Bass of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra, as well as for the Seattle Chamber Orchestra and the Everett Philharmonic. Sean is also the Adjunct Assistant Professor of Double Bass at Pierce College in Puyallup, WA, and a substitute bassist with Symphony Tacoma and the Auburn Symphony Orchestra. In 2024, Sean published A Progressive Guide to Orchestral Excerpts for Double Bass, Volume 1, and chairs the ISB Youth Orchestral Competition; he is also a member of the ISB Youth Education panel.
